20–25 mm Natural Pebbles Filter Media
The 20–25 mm natural pebbles are large-sized granular filter media primarily used as the final base support layer in deep-bed and multi-layer filtration systems. These rounded or semi-rounded silica-based pebbles form the foundation of the filter bed, providing maximum stability, robust drainage, and support for upper media layers such as sand, anthracite, and finer gravels. Their inert and hard-wearing nature makes them ideal for use in high-load, high-flow industrial and municipal filtration setups.
Grain Size: 20–25 mm
Designed to function as the coarsest and bottommost filter support layer.Specific Gravity: ~2.6 g/cm³
Offers mechanical stability under high operational pressures.Effective Size (D10): 20 to 23 mm
Ensures excellent drainage and no clogging at the outlet.Uniformity Coefficient (UC): ≤ 1.6
Guarantees consistency and even packing throughout the filter bed.Composition: Naturally sourced silica-rich quartz pebbles; low in impurities, iron, clay, and organic matter.
Support Layer in Multi-media Filters
Acts as the deepest layer, supporting 12–20 mm or 6–12 mm gravels above.Industrial Water Treatment Plants
Provides foundational media for filters handling large flow volumes and high solids.Municipal Water Filtration Units
Used in large-scale rapid gravity and pressure filters.Effluent & Sludge Filtration
Offers strong structural support in high turbidity environments.Aquaculture and Reservoir Filtration
Prevents clogging and ensures free flow of filtered water through the system.
